We rented the Bariloche camper in March this year. The van was great, just as described, with all of the amenities we needed for our 3 week trip in Chile. It was our first trip of this type, and Sebastian was super helpful over Whatsapp when we needed guidance on how to switch the gas canisters, or where to buy things. When Chile began to shut down due to Covid and our travel plans were thrown into chaos, Sebastian was invaluable in helping us, phoning ferry companies on our behalf to try and get us where we wanted to go. He was very understanding when we had to cut the trip short by a week and leave the van at the office down in Punta Arenas, rather than in Santiago where we had planned to. Once Covid allows, we want to come back to Chile, and we will definitely book with Camper Travel.
We rented the Pucón camper for a three-week trip through the north of Chile. It is an excellent, fully equipped two-person campervan built on a very capable 4x4 chassis. The guys at Camper Travel obviously know what they're doing and we hope to rent from them again in the future
On short notice, we decided to rent a camper and watch the 2019 eclipse. We rented the Suzuki jeep with the roof tent. Booking and payment were really easy, and Sebastian went out of his way to help us. The jeep was great, just as described, almost new with low miles, and the gear was perfect: nice sleeping bags and good fridge. The roof tent was excellent: simple to set up and take down. Camper Travel Chile is not far from the airport and just off the Route 5 Pan American Highway.
Thanks to Sebastian for providing such great service.
Traveling in Patagonia with an RV
I traveled with a camper from Santiago via Mendoza down to Southern Patagonia and dropped off the camper 20 days later in Punta Arenas. Going down Ruta 40 was the best vacation ever. In Chile as well as in Argentina, you can park anywhere and spend the night. One night we parked the camper 10 meters away from Lago Argentino, opened the sliding door in the morning and saw the huge lake and the Andes in the background. It does not get better than that. The crew (especially Sebastian) was excellent, they explained all the gadgets of the RV and the car was very reliable and comfortable. Drop off was a breath just south of the Punta Arenas airport.
I can highly recommend "Camper Travel".
